The Bear Who Burped Rainbows | A Silly Bedtime Story

A Very Noisy Bear

In a bright green meadow lived a bear named Benny. Benny was kind, cuddly, and loved honey more than anything. But Benny had one unusual problem—he burped.

He burped after honey, after berries, even after drinking a glass of water. Sometimes his burps were tiny squeaks. Other times, they rumbled like a drum.

One morning, after gobbling a pot of honey, Benny let out the biggest burp of his life. But instead of a sound, a rainbow burst out of his mouth!

“Whaaa?” Benny gasped, staring at the colorful arc floating above the grass.

Rainbow Trouble

Benny hurried to his friends to show them. “Watch this!” he said, taking a gulp of water.

BUUURP! Out popped another rainbow—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

The rabbits giggled so hard they rolled in the grass. The squirrels clapped their paws. Even the owls hooted with laughter.

But there was a problem. Every time Benny burped, the rainbow didn’t go away. Soon, the meadow was full of crisscrossing rainbows. Birds had to flap around them. Deer tripped trying to step over them.

“Oh dear,” Benny groaned. “My burps are too much!”

The Silly Circus

That evening, the animals decided to hold a show: The Amazing Bear Who Burps Rainbows.

Benny climbed onto a log stage. “I don’t know if this is a good idea,” he muttered.

“Go on!” shouted a fox.

So Benny took a big gulp of berry juice. BUUURP! A rainbow shot across the sky, ending right in a puddle. The puddle sparkled like glitter.

The animals roared with laughter. “Encore!” they cried.

Benny burped again. Out popped a tiny rainbow shaped like a donut. Everyone laughed until their bellies hurt. Benny smiled shyly. Maybe his burps weren’t a problem after all.

Too Many Rainbows

But the next morning, Benny woke up to a meadow covered in rainbows. They draped over bushes, tangled in tree branches, and even blocked the beehives.

“Oh no,” Benny said. “I’ve made a mess.”

The bees buzzed angrily. “We can’t get to our hives!”

The deer huffed. “We can’t see where we’re going!”

Benny’s ears drooped. “I only wanted to make you laugh.”

The animals looked at him kindly. “We love your silly burps,” said the rabbit, “but maybe you can save them for special times.”

A Giggle to Share

So Benny practiced. He learned to sip slowly, chew gently, and keep his burps small. The rainbows still came, but only when he wanted them to.

At the next forest picnic, everyone asked, “Benny, will you do your rainbow trick?”

Benny took a big gulp of honey tea. BUUURP! A rainbow looped across the sky, ending in the picnic basket. The animals clapped and laughed, and Benny bowed.

He realized his rainbows weren’t just silly—they were a gift that brought joy.

And from then on, whenever someone in the forest felt gloomy, Benny would burp a rainbow just for them.

The End.
